With the Hanged man there is often a sense of fatalism, waiting for something to happen. Or a fear of loss from a situation, rather than gain.

The Hanged Man is perhaps the most fascinating card in the deck. It reflects the story of Odin who offered himself as a sacrifice in order to gain knowledge. Hanging from the world tree, wounded by a spear, given no bread or mead, he hung for nine days. On the last day, he saw on the ground runes that had fallen from the tree, understood their meaning, and, coming down, scooped them up for his own. All knowledge is to be found in these runes.

The Hanged Man, in similar fashion, is a card about suspension, not life or death. It signifies selflessness, sacrifice and prophecy. You make yourself vulnerable and in doing so, gain illumination. You see the world differently, with almost mystical insights.

I've been up since 3am this morning, cant sleep. I cant wait! I took Helena to the craft store on Sat to get craft supplies to make mommy a valentines day gift and card. She was so excited, we got to actually make a little heart valentines day picture frame there and Helena did a great job of painting it. She walks around like a big girl now. "Daddy", she says."I think I would like some stickers for mommy's card". "what kind?" I ask her,"I think unicorns and hearts and flowers" she says. So i let her go pick out the stickers while I get a package of paper . I cant tell you nice it is to do these things with Helena, she is about the coolest little girl I've ever known. I do get sad when I see how fast she is growing on me though

She has been excited to do this due to a Clifford thre Big Red Dog book, where the gitl in the story makes a mothers day stuff. But Clifford keeps messing it up.

I hope I can keep sunshine and Ginger Snap from messing ours up.

Its going to be a better day today. 

           I am going to try this blogging thing out, Its been a bad week for me, I had a new type of block done on my back. its a balloon they insert under the acar tissue and use it to lift the tissue way from the site where the medicine has to go. He must have inflated that thing too big because now I have a bad weakness in my arms and neck. I woke up from a nap on tuesday and was scared shitless!! I could not move my arms up past my chest and could not make a fist or even close my hands/fingers. I was scared!! I've had a recurring nightmare now for about 10 years where that is almost exactly what happens in the dream.

Here it is Saturday and I stll have weakness though I can use my hands again, I cant do it very well. Its taking me much longer to type this. I'll be trying to keep this updated but please understand that it is hard to do.
